A LIFE IN
LISTENING

The art of introspection

My work is an invitation to slow down, listen, and explore what lives beneath the surface — through voice, sound, somatic practice and compassionate inquiry.

At the heart of it is a curiosity that has followed me for most of my life: what becomes possible when we begin to listen more deeply?

01 — Roots

I grew up in Istanbul, in a home where spirituality, mysticism and curiosity about the unseen were part of everyday life.

From as early as I can remember, I was drawn to exploring the inner landscape — through ancient teachings, different spiritual traditions, plant medicine and my own lived experience.

Music grew alongside this curiosity. I entered the performing arts young, later training in classical voice and jazz, and spent many years performing and exploring music in different forms.

Music and the inner world have always been intertwined for me.

02 — A turning point

Music had always been a gift to me — something instinctive, playful and deeply alive.

But over time, the pressure and intensity of the performance world began to change my relationship with it, and with myself. Something that had once felt so freeing began to feel increasingly heavy. Eventually, I stopped singing altogether.

It was a deeply disorienting period. Music had been at the centre of how I imagined my life for as long as I could remember, and without it, I wasn’t quite sure where I belonged or what came next.

Then I was diagnosed with cancer.

Strangely, in a period that felt increasingly heavy, the diagnosis brought clarity. Coming closer to the reality of death put things into perspective. It made me question how I was living, what truly mattered to me, and perhaps most importantly, how I wanted to relate to life.

Something began to shift. Long-standing patterns that I had struggled with for years started to change, and I found myself able to move through things that had previously felt impossible.

More than anything, I became deeply curious:
what had changed?

03 — The path

That question opened a new chapter of exploration.

My own healing led me to study the body, trauma, behaviour and the ways our experiences live within us. I followed the approaches that resonated most deeply with what I had experienced myself — moving further into coaching, somatic and trauma-informed work, Compassionate Inquiry, and sound.

What began as a desire to understand my own experience gradually became a way of accompanying others in theirs.

And eventually, I found my way back to my voice.

Not to the voice I thought I needed to have, but to the voice that was already there.

A voice rooted less in performance and more in presence, curiosity, expression and listening.

04 — Today

Today, I am healthy, and I look back on that diagnosis with immense gratitude. What initially appeared as one of the most frightening moments of my life became, in many ways, a gift in disguise.

It changed not only what I chose to explore, but the way I wanted to meet life.

TAOI — The Art of Introspection — grew from the meeting of all these worlds.

Music and silence.
Ancient wisdom and modern understanding.
The body and the unseen.
Expression and deep listening.

Today, I bring these threads together through Primal Voice, sound and compassionate inquiry — creating spaces to slow down, become curious, listen more deeply and reconnect with what is already within us.
